SharDave

SharDave’s eclectic style is partly reflective of World-Roots Fusion, a genre emphasising global percussive rhythms blended with the idioms of music from genres like Jazz, Folk, Blues and Rock. Their vibrancy and familiar-yet-exotic sound, is achieved by using Afro-influenced grooves that layer traditional global instruments alongside more contemporary instruments and song structures. Another strong stylistic feature in SharDave’s music is the Contemporary Jazz Fusion that blends the lyrical quality of Folk with the improvisational space and complex chords of Jazz, supported by a funky, syncopated backbone. 

SharDave’s songs also reflect philosophically driven and deeply personal songwriting. Shar’s lyrics are powerful and evocative, deeply intentional, focusing on themes of resilience, identity, integrity, personal growth, connection, courage and freedom, with the goal of bringing positive change to the listener. They  are thus high in therapeutic and social value, fostering mindset shifting toward emotional and psychological resilience and encouragement of the human spirit. 

Recorded and produced in the SharDave Music Studio, SharDave’s Discography, so far, includes fifteen high-quality singles since 2022, including some of their latest releases, Pick Your Head Up, Oom Ba Ta Ka Chaka (Falling), and Thought. SharDave have also produced, so far, five full Music Videos from original content, released through VEVO. Their work continues, with the aim of producing and releasing the more than 60 songs written so far. 

SharDave gives back to their community by teaching music, and engaging in live performance gigs, both as a duo, and with other groups, including with community bands.
