The song has a dual meaning, describing on one hand the process of dying, and being subsequently caught up in the arms of love. This narrative is based on the testimonies of a friend and a family member when they went through the process of dying and being brought back. (Special acknowledgements to Pip and Don). On the other hand, the song metaphorically also describes a comparison between destructive relationships (cold wind) and those that heal and draw you into the arms of love (warm wind).

SharDave is a musical duo and production team based in Victoria, Australia. The duo consists of Shar (Sharon Rose Ford), songwriter and lyricist, lead vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist, and Dave (David John Matthews), a seasoned drummer and percussionist whose blend of Western drum kits and African and Latino-influence instruments are used to create the duo’s signature world-music rhythms.
